The Diamond Ranch Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Muir Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Diamond Ranch was able to grind out a solid win over Northview, taking the game 36-28.
Diamond Ranch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but D'mariya Thomas led the charge by picking up 144 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Keanu Vasquez was another key contributor, throwing for 215 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Muir put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Pasadena at home to the tune of 45-0. Winning may never get old, but Muir sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Their wins bumped Diamond Ranch to 8-2 and Muir to 7-3.
