The Weaver Monarchs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 45-27 bruising from Noli Indian. Weaver was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Noli Indian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Noli Indian can attribute much of their success to Caden Almanza, who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Salgado, who scored nine points.
Weaver bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Noli Indian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Weaver will head out on the road to challenge Desert Chapel at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Noli Indian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Palm Valley at 3:15 p.m. on January 16th. Palm Valley's defense has only allowed 22.2 points per game this season, so Noli Indian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
