After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Pius X, Savannah was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Maryville Spoofhounds. The Savages haven't had any issues with the Spoofhounds recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Aryana Spry paced Savannah's offense, picking up 24 kills. Spry got some help from Reece Gould and her 51 assists. Keely Grissom and Mylee Schrick kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Despite the defeat, Maryville had strong showings from Evelyn Branner, who had 14 digs and one assist, and Reagan Kurz, who had seven digs and one assist.
