Mandeville is a perfect 4-0 against Lakeshore since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mandeville Skippers will face off against Lakeshore at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Mandeville will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Northshore, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Mandeville's way against Northshore on Friday as Mandeville made off with an 11-3 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Skippers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Mandeville got a great performance from Mia Baham as she pitched 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Grace Richard was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lindsay Berniard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Lakeshore can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Hammond 17-6. Lakeshore's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Annabella Litolff made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Lakeshore let Sydney Arnold and Maddie Butler run wild. Arnold scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Butler scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Tannah Willie was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Lakeshore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mandeville pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeshore, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Everything went Mandeville's way against Lakeshore when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Mandeville made off with a 13-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mandeville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
