Eden has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the East Aurora Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eden can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Global Concepts 59-34. Given Eden's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Global Concepts is ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eden can attribute much of their success to Taesyn Slating, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks, and Mike Weyland, who scored 22 points along with five steals. Slating hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Mason, who scored four points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Aurora's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on January 5th after their fourth straight loss. They took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cleveland Hill. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (60), East Aurora still had to take the loss.
Eden pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for East Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
