The Pahoa Daggers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Honoka'a by a score of 52-42 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Pahoa as they're now sitting on three straight.
Pahoa was led to victory by Hunter Paio and Kyran Canete. Paio scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Canete scored 26 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Canete has scored at least a third of Pahoa's points.
Pahoa's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Honoka'a, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Pahoa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Honoka'a also has no future games currently scheduled.
