Kennebunk's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Marshwood as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Juliann Pike made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

Kennebunk has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Thornton Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Kennebunk has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. Everything went Kennebunk's way against Thornton Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Kennebunk made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
