If Hammond were expecting to get some payback for the 0-54 loss against Hammond Gavit the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Hammond have to be aching after a bruising 0-22 defeat to Hammond Gavit on Friday.
Hammond are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7. The win bumped Hammond Gavit's record up to 3-5.
Next week Hammond take on East Chicago Central at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss. As for Hammond Gavit, they will face off against Gary West Side. Gary West Side took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Hammond Gavit's good fortune.
