The Naaman Forest Rangers were the 61-55 winner over the Little Elm Lobos when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Naaman Forest was dealt a 81-46 defeat at the hands of Little Elm on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Naaman Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 895th, while Little Elm is ranked 128th).
Little Elm's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kensington Candler, who scored 19 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. The matchup was Candler's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riki Adams, who scored 16 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Naaman Forest and nudges their season record down to 2-11. As for Little Elm, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Naaman Forest is on the road again on Friday and play against Sachse at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Little Elm, they will face off against Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
