The Westville Tigers can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Hoopeston. The victory was just what Westville needed coming off of a 67-30 loss in their prior match.
Hoopeston's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendrick Sigerill, who scored six points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Montez, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Westville's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Hoopeston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
Westville on the road again on Tuesday and play against Salt Fork at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Salt Fork is on a three-game streak of home wins, Westville a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Hoopeston will take on Cissna Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
