The Antioch Sequoits waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Chicago 49-7 at home. With Antioch ahead 34-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Antioch to victory were Adelie Gomez and Heidi Rathmann. Gomez scored 12 points, while Rathmann scored 15 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Rathmann has scored at least 25% of Antioch's points. Another player making a difference was Macie Volkmar, who scored 7 points.
Antioch's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for North Chicago, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Antioch will head out on the road to face off against Woodstock North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Chicago, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Lake is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
