The Liberty Lions's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past Mountain Ridge 2-1. Sarah Wilson had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Liberty.
Liberty's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7-3. As for Mountain Ridge, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season.
Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Browne at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Browne will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight. Mountain Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
