The Tanalian Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chief Ivan Blunka. Tanalian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chief Ivan Blunka apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Lynx players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erik McGee, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Chmiel, who scored 11 points.
Tanalian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Chief Ivan Blunka, their win bumped their record up to 1-7.
Tanalian and King Cove will face off at 10:30 a.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in King Cove's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Chief Ivan Blunka, they will face off against Sand Point at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Sand Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
