The Mechanicsburg Indians will face off against the Greeneview Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mechanicsburg 1.8, Greeneview 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Greeneview will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Mechanicsburg extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Indians walked away with a 4-1 win over Triad.
Colton Walborn made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Eli Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Liam O'Laughlin was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Greeneview got the win against Greenon on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Rams have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Mechanicsburg, Greeneview also got a great game from a two-way player: Max Penrod. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Penrod was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Reynolds, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Walker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Greeneview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenon only posted an OBP of .292.
The victory made it two in a row for Greeneview and bumps their season record up to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Mechanicsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
