Basketball Recap: Bishop Gorman Piles Up the Points Against King's Academy

Bishop Gorman won the last time they faced King's Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Bishop Gorman Crusaders simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the King's Academy Knights 81-29. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Bishop Gorman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylon Miles, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Miles continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Richbourg, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points and five assists.

Bishop Gorman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Bishop Gorman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for King's Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bishop Gorman will be playing in front of their home fans against Brownsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Brownsboro has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three contests. As for King's Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-41 victory against Pewitt on the 14th.
