Raymond Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over the Fillmore Central Panthers. With the Mustangs ahead 34-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Wyatt Jelinek had a dynamite game, rushing for 191 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 129 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes. Those 191 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Raymond Central also got help from Tavion Johnson, who showed off his sure hands for 83 receiving yards.
