The Arizona College Prep Knights stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Poston Butte 75-52. Winning may never get old, but Arizona College Prep sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Alex Neill was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Dominik Berumen, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Poston Butte still got an impressive performance from Dutch Martinez, who scored 22 points. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Martin, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Arizona College Prep's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Poston Butte, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Arizona College Prep will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eastmark at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Eastmark is ranked 79th, while Arizona College Prep is ranked 68th). As for Poston Butte, they will head out on the road to face off against American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
