Softball Recap: Mt. Diablo Has No Trouble Against San Lorenzo

Mt. Diablo won the last time they faced San Lorenzo and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Sophie Ramos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Ramos was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Faith Sotelo and Melissa Ceja did most of the damage at the plate: Sotelo scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Ceja scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Dazzelynn Alon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Mt. Diablo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Lorenzo only posted an OBP of .318.

Mt. Diablo's record now sits at 3-8. As for San Lorenzo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Diablo will head out to square off against Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Lorenzo, they will venture away from home to challenge Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
