The Olney Trojans were the 56-6 winner over the South Philadelphia Rams when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Olney might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-6 to South Philadelphia, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Olney has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Khair Glascow was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Another reason for the win was South Philadelphia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Hahmir Johnson and his two sacks.
Olney's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.8 points per game. As for South Philadelphia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olney will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Martin Luther King at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. As for South Philadelphia, they will head out on the road to face off against Abraham Lincoln at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
