Canutillo's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Bonilla, who went 5-for-11 en route to 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Bonilla is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Donovan Mozer, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points and five assists.
Mansfield Summit's victory bumped their record up to 30-7. As for Canutillo, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-10.
Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colleyville Heritage will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mansfield Summit surely won't give up without a fight. Canutillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
