The Hicksville Aces will head out on the road to square off against the Edon Bombers at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hicksville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 15-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Hicksville was the victim of a rough 57-31 defeat at the hands of Antwerp. Hicksville has struggled against Antwerp recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kennedy Adams, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Steury, who scored five points.
Edon has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over Gorham Fayette on Thursday.
Hicksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Edon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
Hicksville might still be hurting after the 51-28 loss they got from Edon in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Hicksville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
