The biggest upset of the week belonged to Decatur, who took down 126th ranked Auburn Mountainview, 31-30.
Peninsula extended the longest winning streak in 3A SPSL this week by beating Enumclaw, 51-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Lions' dynamic duo of Domenic Rockey and Kekoa Nahaku proved tough for the Golden Gators to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rockey threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns and Nahaku had 76 yards receiving. Joey Cassano helped Auburn Mountainview's passing attack out by catching six balls for 46 yards.
Kevin Thompson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 164 yards on 14 carries as Lakes fell to Decatur. Dominic Milton also contributed to the rushing game with 135 yards on the ground.
Curtis Scott made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jared Gervais' team fell to Leon Hatch's team. The 6-foot-0 senior recorded one fumble.
The Lions' Rockey and Nahaku have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Rockey has thrown for 1689 yards this season, while Nahaku, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 48 catches for 640 yards. Thompson from the Lancers leads the league in rushing with 660 yards.
The top two teams in 3A SPSL will face off this week when first place Peninsula takes on second place Lakes. Last week, Peninsula topped the Hornets, while Lakes bested Bonney Lake.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Dave Miller's team takes on Ross Filkins' team. The Lancers' offense has racked up 294 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Seahawks have allowed only 98 on the year.
Peninsula took down Enumclaw 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
