Dayton waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves with a sharp  17-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten  runs or more this season.
 Kyla Thurston made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Thurston was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Lila Hutchens was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run was  her first of the season.  Cindi Howard was another key player,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-4.
 Dayton  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Dayton's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Dayton will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Touchet  at 4:00  p.m. Tekoa-Rosalia will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs'  match: after the Bulldogs faces off against McLoughlin, they'll take on Tekoa-Rosalia again  at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 28th.
