The Kodiak Bears were the 55-44 winner over the Lathrop Malemutes when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kodiak took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lathrop on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lathrop got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Devonte Hall out in front who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals. Luke Skinner was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Kodiak's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lathrop, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Monroe Catholic the next time they take the court. Lathrop will host Monroe Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kodiak will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
