Columbia is 8-2 against the Huskies since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Columbia Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Emmett Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Columbia is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Columbia ended up a good deal behind the Falcons and lost 59-40.
Emmett won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-42 loss at the hands of Bishop Kelly. While losing is never fun, Emmett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Knights are ranked 18th).
Columbia has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Emmett, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Columbia didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Huskies in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
