Camas (Wash.) received a huge boost from its defense against Evergreen (Vancouver, Wash.), as the unit scored 31 in defeating Evergreen (Vancouver, Wash.), 62-15.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Josh Mattox in the first quarter, the Papermakers led 41-3 at the half.
Camas grew its lead to 59 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
With the win the Papermakers extended their winning streak to six games. Camas defeated Skyview 47-12 last week.
Camas came into the game allowing 11.4 points per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, CHS came away with a 77-28 victory.
Evergreen (3-3) will play a 4A Greater St. Helens game against Skyview next week, while Camas (6-0) will take on Union also in a 4A Greater St. Helens game.
