The McKinney Boyd Broncos will face off against the Rock Hill Blue Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. McKinney Boyd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for McKinney Boyd after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Plano East by a score of 5-4. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McKinney Boyd saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Vlahos, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Leah Teague was another, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill lost 22-10 to Prosper on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Hawks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Aliyana Sanchez led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Kerrigan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

McKinney Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Rock Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. McKinney Boyd hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Rock Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went McKinney Boyd's way against Rock Hill when the teams last played back in March, as McKinney Boyd made off with a 16-2 win. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
