Franklin Academy extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-3. They blew past the Triangle Math & Science Academy Tigers 59-30. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Franklin Academy was led to victory by Dylan Smith and Jacob Barnes. Smith posted six points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Barnes almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. What's more, Barnes posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayes Lewis, who earned ten points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

As for Triangle Math & Science Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. They haven't had much luck with Franklin Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
