Shekinah Christian is 1-9 against the Eagles since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Hopefully Shekinah Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
Shekinah Christian managed to keep up with the Unicorns until halftime, but things quickly went downhill from there. Shekinah Christian suffered a tough 54-34 defeat at the hands of the Unicorns.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noe Wanty, who scored three points along with five rebounds and five steals. Alinea Slabaugh was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, Madison Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Delaware Christian 50-23 on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Madison Christian had established a 23 point advantage.
Kiley Wray continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 assists. It was the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Lily Scholz, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Shekinah Christian's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Madison Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Shekinah Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Madison Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
