Day continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bamara Kone was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Kings Mountain was led to victory by Caleb Nixon and Bradley Floyd. Nixon went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 3 assists, while Floyd scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Floyd hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kee'donn Linney, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
West Charlotte has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Kings Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Charlotte will take on Harding University at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kings Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Crest at 7:30 p.m. Crest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
