Warde is 9-0 against Bridgeport Central since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Warde Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, it was close, but Warde sidestepped Trumbull for a 36-33 win.
Meanwhile, Bridgeport Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Harding on the road to the tune of 61-32. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Bridgeport Central as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Kai Clarke was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amaya Womack, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Warde's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bridgeport Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Warde was able to grind out a solid victory over Bridgeport Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 74-61. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Bridgeport Central's Ciara Underwood, who scored 38 points along with five steals and two blocks. Now that she won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Warde to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
