The Panama Panthers had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Randolph 86-23 on Wednesday. Panama was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-10.
Randolph's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skylar Herington, who scored 35 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Herington has scored at least 25% of Randolph's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Pence, who shot 4-for-8 from deep and almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 13 assists, and 9 steals.
Panama's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Randolph, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Panama will head out on the road to face off against Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Randolph, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
