Christian Learning Center is 10-0 against El Dorado Christian since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Christian Learning Center Mustangs will face off against the El Dorado Christian Buffalos at 5:30 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
El Dorado Christian will be up against a hot Christian Learning Center team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Christian Learning Center simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Overland Christian 53-24. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Eagle are ranked 423rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christian Learning Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micah Bean, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Bean is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Martin, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points.
Christian Learning Center smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely El Dorado Christian's strategy against Chanute Christian on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that El Dorado Christian blew Chanute Christian out of the water with a 41-14 final score. The Buffalos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.
El Dorado Christian found their leader in sophomore McKenzie Cole, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cole has scored at least a third of El Dorado Christian's points. Sadie Watkins was another key player, putting up nine points.
El Dorado Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Christian Learning Center, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Christian Learning Center has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 30.8 boards per game. However, it's not like El Dorado Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Christian Learning Center strolled past El Dorado Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 42-28. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Cole, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Christian Learning Center still be able to contain Cole? There's only one way to find out.
