 Wayne's loss  ended  a  nine-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 6-3. As for Mercy,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-14.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne will take on North Bend Central on Monday. Wayne's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so North Bend Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mercy, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Fort Calhoun, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Fort Calhoun will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Mercy surely won't give up without a fight.
