MacArthur hasn't had much luck against Spring recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Generals will welcome the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with MacArthur sitting on three straight victories and Spring on four.
MacArthur is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Aldine 20-3 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Generals with their most commanding win of the season.

Trinity Chacon was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Amanda Morales was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI.
MacArthur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .710. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Spring got the win against Eisenhower on Tuesday by a conclusive 19-1. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Brylynn Rickert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Spring got a massive performance out of Hailey Jones-Calais, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Jones-Calais has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maleah Grounds, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
MacArthur now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Spring, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. MacArthur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. However, it's not like Spring struggles in that department as they've averaged .398. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
MacArthur suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Spring in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
