If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Superior Collegiate. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Kingdom Prep at 7:00 PM. Superior Collegiate are cruising in on a 3-game winning streak while Kingdom Prep are stumbling in off of 3 consecutive losses.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Superior Collegiate ultimately got the result it was hoping for last week. They snuck past Champagnat Catholic with a 20-14 win. Superior Collegiate's success was spearheaded by the efforts of senior Alan Riggins, who rushed for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns, and junior Keyvone Lee, who rushed for 110 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, Kingdom Prep have to be hurting after a devastating 6-27 loss at the hands of Admiral Farragut. Kingdom Prep were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-27.
Superior Collegiate's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Kingdom Prep's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Superior Collegiate can add another positive mark to their record or if Kingdom Prep can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Superior Collegiate's step.
