Madison Central has won seven straight games at home, while Hernando has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Jaguars will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Madison Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Murrah get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Jaguars have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Weston Rogers looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carter Ashley was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Madison Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Hernando struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Madison Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Hernando in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
