It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Orting Cardinals can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Anacortes on Friday, falling 42-0. Orting's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Zack Gemar threw for 26 yards on five of 13 attempts. On the ground, Brock Armstrong rushed for 54 yards on only six carries.
Orting's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Anacortes, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Enumclaw the next time they take the field. Anacortes will host Enumclaw at 0:01 a.m. on November 25th, while Orting will head out to face them at 0:01 a.m. on December 22nd.
