Softball Recap: Big Sky Has No Trouble Against Hellgate

Big Sky won the last time they faced Hellgate and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sadie McGuinn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Aubrey Bykari was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Big Sky was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hellgate only posted a batting average of .235.

Big Sky's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Hellgate, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Big Sky will challenge rival Capital at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hellgate is set to square off against their familiar foe Butte at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
