Horizon took down Rock Academy 69-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Panthers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,796 from 6,987. The improvement was the result of 69-15 victory over the Warrior last week.
Khaleel Jenkins and Jesse Brookins gave Parker a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Jenkins threw for 103 yards and one touchdown, while Brookins ran for 143 yards. Teammate Jenkins added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.
Nathan Ross was the best wideout in Coastal this week as Santa Fe Christian fell to Bishop Diego. Ross tallied two receptions for 61 yards. Troy Zarubin helped Santa Fe Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Parker's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gabe Harrington has thrown for 899 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Hank Childs has 29 catches for 403 yards. Brookins leads the league in rushing with 677 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Horizon. At the moment, Santa Fe Christian is in fourth, while Chris Johnson's team is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when the Lancers and La Jolla Country Day face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Parker comes in having scored 149 this season, while the Torreys have scored 138. John Morrison's team scored 21 points last week as it lost to Imperial.
The Panthers led Coastal in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on Rock Academy.
