The Sonoraville Phoenix will head out on the road to square off against the Gordon Central Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sonoraville will be strutting in after a victory while Gordon Central will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Sonoraville had just enough and edged Adairsville out 4-3.
Sonoraville hit Adairsville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Bailey Deboard (2),
Lillian Kindl, and
Lina DeLeon Rojas.
Meanwhile, Gordon Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 10-0 defeat at the hands of Calhoun. Gordon Central has struggled against Calhoun recently, as their contest on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Sonoraville's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Gordon Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Sonoraville suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Gordon Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. Can Sonoraville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
