The Sulphur Bluff Bears had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-43 win over Bloomburg on Thursday. The victory was just what Sulphur Bluff needed coming off of a 54-16 defeat in their prior matchup.
Emma Neal was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaylee Peyton, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Sulphur Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bloomburg, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ector the next time they take the court. Sulphur Bluff will host Ector at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Bloomburg will host them on Friday.
