While losing is never fun, Royal Palm Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while Suncoast is ranked 185th).

Suncoast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Philleah Bright, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bright posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Nyana Gordon, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Royal Palm Beach has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Suncoast, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal Palm Beach will take on Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Suncoast won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wellington at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Wellington is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
