Football Recap: Bristol Central's Punishing Run Game Keeps Rolling

The Bristol Central Rams earned a 30-18 win over the Simsbury Trojans on Friday. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Gabriel Ouellette produced another solid performance rushing for 166 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 71 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bristol Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Bristol Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was Ace Rodriguez and his one interception.
