The Carroll Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rockport-Fulton Pirates at 12:30 p.m. on December 16th. One thing working in Carroll's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
Carroll pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 85-64 walloping at the hands of Gregory-Portland. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (59), Carroll still had to take the loss.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Boston Hills, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedon Gomez, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rockport-Fulton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alexander. While losing is never fun, Rockport-Fulton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while Alexander is ranked 147th).
Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Rockport-Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
Carroll came up short against Rockport-Fulton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 62-49. Can Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
