Damon Mesa continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Holcomb, rushing for 286 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Mesa was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.
Hugoton's defeat on Friday dropped their record down to 5-2. Holcomb has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
