Branchville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Branchville played against the Buccaneers and lost via forfeit.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethune-Bowman.
The losing side was boosted by Anthony Williams, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Eric Parker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Branchville has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Branchville came out on top in a nail-biter against the Red Raiders when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 48-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Branchville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
