The School Without Walls Penguins will venture away from home to challenge the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in School Without Walls' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times School Without Walls and Bell had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Everything went School Without Walls' way against Bell on Thursday as School Without Walls made off with a 22-10 win. The Penguins haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Maeve Cunningham made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Cunningham was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Emma Pfaffenroth was a standout: she fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Anna Morelli, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3.
School Without Walls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .759. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .517 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Model Secondary School for the Deaf unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against School Without Walls on Tuesday, falling 20-9.
Starla Baskin and Arianna Velez did some serious damage despite the final result: Baskin scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Velez scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattea King, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
School Without Walls' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.3 runs. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went School Without Walls' way against Model Secondary School for the Deaf when the teams last played on Tuesday, as School Without Walls made off with a 20-9 victory.
