Volleyball Recap: American Fork Gets the Win

While American Fork didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the West Jordan Jaguars on Friday. The Cavemen haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While American Fork won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Macy Melville paced American Fork's offense, picking up 12 kills. Melville were helped by Brynn Murray and Ellie Dickey, who contributed ten assists each. Destinie Hampton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

American Fork's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for West Jordan, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

American Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Davis on the 6th. As for West Jordan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Murray on the 5th.
