Baseball Recap: Lincoln Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lincoln had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Manual Thunderbolts as they made off with a 24-1 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-2 win on April 10th.

Sam Trujillo was incredible, firing off six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Cairo Holguin was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manual struck out seven times.

Lincoln's record is now 14-4. As for Manual, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Manual will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Thunderbolts will head out to face the Jeff Saint at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lancers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
